This is the beginning of 18 new wells to be drilled on this pad site. They were approved administratively, meaning there was no vote by city council to approve and no opportunity for citizen comment.
Black mountain sand mine near Canton/watonga ok, has been permanently closed for several years. Exposed sand from mine is blowing in strong Oklahoma wind, toward homes.

We live in NE Thornton, Colorado. There are drilling sites all around us. Many evenings the air smells like sewer, or rotten eggs. On some cool nights we can’t open the windows because the smell is so bad. I don’t think the air is ever checked but it should be.
